Jungle, Drum and Bass, intelligent music, call it what you will but as a whole the scene hasn't, and will never fully recover as Steve was simpily the best there ever was. Steve could read the crowd at a rave perfectly and could constantly change his style, pattern of delivery and technique in a split second to suit the crowd, from jungle to hip-hop to ragga, then back to hip-hop, all the qualities which eventually propelled him into jungle's first superstar MC.
Steve was one of the first MC's who knew that ravers have an integural part in the success of any party so he would vibe with the crowd thus having them to participate in one of his many hooks and verses. Stevie's massive stature within the scene would brighten up any rave just with his mere presence alone, ravers knew there were going to be in for a rough night out when he was around.
He was always on point so you knew that he meticulously practiced as he knew that his voice was his talent and he always had arrive at the party with new and improved lyrics, that is what was expected of him. Stevie's inter-stella performances at all the major raves in the country had pushed the bar up a notch even higher, he had stepped up to the plate. The remarkable thing that he has left us with is his undeniable voice, battling with the DJ to get the crowd whipped up into a frenzy. In fact Stevie's voice complimented the DJ which set a blueprint in the process.
