		n/a - International: Acid Tracks Shrewd businessman Larry Sherman's new vision of the future "Trax Records" could be aiming for the stars if his label finally gets around to releasing Phuture's debut recording "Acid Tracks". Weighing in at a whopping eleven minutes of vinyl, acid tracks was touted as a underground anthem as far back as two years previously by local DJ Ron Hardy during one of his legendary seventy-two-hour high energy sessions at the Muzic Box in downtown Chicago. Citied as the first true acid house record, acid tracks was created "accidentally" by Nathaniel Jones [ a.k.a. "DJ Pierre" ], Earl Smith Jr. [ a.k.a. "Spanky" ] and Herbert Jackson [ a.k.a. "Herb J" ]. Experienced local producer Marshall Jefferson would pay a part by first acting as a "would-be" mentor and guide to Pierre and Earl in the murky world of record production and artist management [ Trax Records CEO Larry awarded his artists the basic flat rate of twenty-five bucks per track and no future shares in the royalities ], to be appointed as the executive producer for the fledging group.
		Autumn - London: Boy's Own Fanzine Andrew Weatherall, Cymon Eccles, Terry Farley and Steve Mayes launch the first issue of "Boy’s Own" fanzine - their debut sells in excess of three hundred copies.

		January January 18th - National: Steve "Silk" Hurley Chicago native Steve "Silk" Hurley charting with house music's first number one in the United Kingdom with - "Jack Your Body".
		January - London: Ecstasy Seized The national tabloids report the first confirmed seizures of the drug Ecstasy by the Metropolitan Police - sources suggest that the narcotic is used as: content if browser does not support

		March March 9th - Manchester: Chicago House Party Tour The "Chicago House Party" tour stopped at the Haçienda in Manchester, Greater Manchester. Appearing on the night was Marshall Jefferson, Frankie Knuckles, Kevin Irving, Adonis and Larry Heard - the DJ's played to a half-empty venue.

		Summer Summer - Ibiza: The Project Bar Loosely taking the name from their club night in London, cousins Ian Paul and Trevor Fung open the "Project Bar" in San Antonio, Ibiza. In late august, Ian and Trevor invited Paul Oakenfold over to the island and to their bar - Paul brought along close friends Johnny Walker, Nicky Holloway and Danny Rampling to celebrate his birthday. Trevor and Ian completely forget their daytime responsibilities eventually closing down the bar to spend the rest of the summer going back and forth between Amnesia and Cafe Del Mar with the quartet. On their return back to blighty, the "Ibiza Four" realise that their lifes have been changed forever.
