September - National: Universe

BTY Ltd - The parent company in charge of the Universe organisation, is about to become rave history and a distant memory. With the major losses incurred at the Time Machine and Big Love parties, plus the cancelled Tribal Gathering in San Francisco, reality seals their fate as Paul Shurey and Ian Jenkninson's promotions company is forced into liquidation.

Within a historical two-year spell, Universe rose to the top of the pile with their ground-breaking events, bold DJ selection, their responible attitude to nature and the environment and most importantly, their bringing together of all tribes and walks of life.

October

October 2nd - London: Labrynth

Club Labrynth has come a long way since the heady warehouse days, police raids, extortion attempts and the recruitment of a unknown rave band called The Prodigy... Today, they will celebrate a gigantic milestone as they move across town to host their fifth birthday party at Bagley's Warehouse in Kings Cross, north London.

October 12th - Whitley Bay: Judgement Day

Since Paul Ludford's Rezerection started to concentrate more on their all-night scottish events, at the expense of the popular "bread and butter" raves at the Mayfair in Newcastle, there has been serious lack of places to rave in the north-east of England.

Guy Kneeling - Newcastle record shop owner and also known as the Bass Generator, tries to get the balance right by launching "The Judgement Day" at Global Village in Whitley Bay, Yorkshire.

October 22nd - Swindon: The Fruit Club

The nightlife and raving in Swindon has gone very quiet since Odyssey and Ektos have stopped promoting raves in the area a few months back... All those sad faces in Wiltshire are about to be erased as Stephen Reid's Meditation [ a promotions company based in London ] takes over Friday nights to start hosting "The Fruit Club" at the Brunel Rooms in Swindon, Wiltshire.

October 23rd - Ingliston: Rezerection

The Rave merchandise and Donna Air is at the ready as the northern ravers favourite, "Rezerection" hosts a autumn gathering for their hardcore contingent at the Royal Highland Centre in Ingliston.

Shades of Ryhthm, Carl Cox, Grooverider, Ratty, Marc Smith, Ryhthmic State, Bass Generator, Mikey B, KMC, Ribbs, Sneaky Eye and GTO make it lucky thirteen for Rezerection.

When one of the English DJ's couldn't make the event, this left organiser Paul Ludford with a huge gap to fill in the running order. When hearing the news, resident DJ Bass Generator steps in and recommmends a local Scottish DJ called Technotrance, and slips Paul a demo tape of his work...

Paul Ludford listens to the tape and is suitably impressed with Technotrance's ability and hires the DJ to fill the vacant slot. Technotrance's first appearance at Rezerection will become one of the highlights of the event and the name "Technotrance" will become a permanent fixture on Rez's flyers.
