September 3rd - London: Dream FM

In their quest to be number one station in south London with their special blend of the latest Jungle, happy hardcore, techno from a good crop of up-and-coming DJ's and MC's, pirate radio station "Dream FM" breaks their cover to host their first party at club Labrynth in Dalston, east London.

 

Fronted and created by DJ Spinback, MC Fiaz and DJ Swifflee, Dream FM's coverage and listeners have been steadily increasing since the trio first started transmitting in the early part of this year.

 

Thousands of ravers from all over the metropolis and beyond gathered quietly on Dalston High Road in the defiance at the silly rumours that happy hardcore is a dirty word and is dead and buried in the capital.

 

 

 

September 9th - Birmingham: Amnesia House

Coventry promoters Amnesia House swap their busy midlands lifestyles for a more sedate setting on the cornish riviera as they come to town host, "The Southern Smile", Amnesia's first venture into south-west England at the Warehouse in Plymouth, Devon.

 

 

 

September 10th - Saltcoats: Metro

It is going horribly wrong for clubbers in Scotland as their scene is in the spotlight again, and another red alert goes out to the general public.

 

On a night were three other guests were taken to Ayrshire Hospital after failling ill at the same venue, Twenty-one-year-old musician James McCabe from the Dennistoun suburb of Glasgow in Lanarkshire becomes the next person to die from the effects of Ecstasy after collasping at the Metro club in Saltcoats, Ayrshire.

 

Sources suggest that the local drug dealers have simply moved onto the Metro club as it is near enough impossible to get past the rigorous security procedures in place at Hanger 13 in Ayr, Ayrshire.

 

Strathclyde Police also believe that a batch of concentrated "super-strength" Ecstasy tablets is in circulation and those tablets could be behind this shocking tragedy.

 

Officers from Strathclyde police believe that Mr. McCabe had taken a amphetamine-type substance just before his collapse. They will also be going to visit their fellow officers at Ayrshire Police to see if Mr McCabe's death has any connection to the three other Ecstasy fatalities at Hanger 13 as it's the nearest rave venue.

 

With an ironic twist of fate, just before Mr. McCabe's death, James [ who is also known as the up-and-coming producer "Reactive Bass" ] had recently spelt out the dangers and his concerns on the ever increasing use of Ecstasy in northern clubs to a reporter from the Scottish rave mag, M8 magazine.
